Generally, we keep MediLodge of Montrose premises at the warmer end of the scale, given that our residents tend to be sensitive to cooler temperatures. If your family member wishes to be a little cooler, you may want to check with us about bringing in a portable fan. - Overnight leaves from MediLodge of Montrose are allowed but may be limited or temporarily not allowed, depending on the lodger's condition and source of payment. Medicare and Medicaid have specific rules that we at MediLodge of Montrose must follow, and it’s crucial that we work within their guidelines.
- MediLodge of Montrose does permit day trips – and even encourages lodgers to take them if they feel up to it.
- For all outings, MediLodge of Montrose asks that you please notify us in advance so we can make any special arrangements that might be required.

MediLodge of Montrose features both private and semi-private suite accommodations. We want the best for you or your loved one and will do our utmost to match them with someone who has similar interests, capabilities and daily routines in a semi-private suite.
Our Great Lakes Lodge short term rehabilitation lodge features sixty suites, with fifteen beds per wing. There are seven private and eight semi-private suites on each fifteen bed wing. You can bring personal items to make you or your loved one's suite at MediLodge of Montrose more comfortable and home-like.
Each private and semi-private suite features a full bathroom with shower in the room, flat screen television, night stand, dresser and armoire, telephone by the bed side, safety locking rocking chair, down comforters and country quilts on each bed. The semi-private rooms are unique that they are separated by a half wall allowing both lodgers a view of the window and additional privacy via a curtain.

This requires that there be a licensed nurse available on the MediLodge of Montrose premises at all times. - a Medicare Card and at least one other insurance card
- a Social Security Card
- a doctor’s or hospital’s referral notice, which includes the doctor’s orders, the History and Physical, the most recent chest X-ray, and any Mental Health Screening (MIMR) forms
- the following papers, as applicable: DPOA, Patient Advocate, Guardianship, Conservatorship
- 5 to 7 days worth of clothing
- any personal belongings
